    SHARP power supply board

Posted by Unknown on 11th Apr 2017

I have a sharp 55" 4K smart TV, It suffered a power surge during a thunderstorm, I took it to a repair shop and was charged $50 to open and test the stuff inside, my repairman could not locate any parts at the time to repair the TV, It was to new, made in Feb. 2016, so I had to go pick it up, it sat in my hallway for 6 months, I finally tried to search again for parts, got a person at sharp on the phone, I explained what had happened, she told me what parts I might need along with parts numbers, so I googled the numbers in which I found this website, the used parts were half the price as new, After installing the power supply board all that happened was the red power light on the front of TV came on, nothing else, so I called tvpartsguy again and was instructed that I probably need the main board replaced also, they had the part, received it in 3 days...TV is working! I think I have $100.00 in parts, yea ! moral of the story, buy the extended warranty at Wal-Mart, it covers power surges, luckily my home insurance paid me some money for the inconvenience as well as the company that made my power supply surge protector, Jasco,
